Is the Punto what you and I were waiting for? A car to buy in lieu of the Swift… which is without doubt the best performing hatchback in the country today…but at the same time soooo damn common now that buying it is just no news at all for anybdy! Also to accept the swollen face look of the Swift is a c0mpromise many make and you dont wanna add to the que…do u?
I have been trying hard since 17 June(when the Punto launched) to get as much facts as possible abt it to help make a sound decision.
Although there was a lot of buzz that Fiat did great pricing I now feel that they should have been a little more aggressive by matching ( if not undercutting) Swift’s price.
The biggest problem for Fiat when comparisons happen is that they are scoring low on the no1 factor that Indian customers demand- Fuel Efficiency ! (FE)
I hope you are alrdy aware abt the variants- 4 each for Petrol and Diesel.
